Yorkminster Presbyterian Women gathered for their Spring Luncheon on May 5, 2026. The program began with joyous songs performed by the YPC Preschool four-year-old class.
Business included voting on the nominees for PWCT Officers for the upcoming year and dedication of the annual Birthday Offering supporting a women's and children's crisis center in Ohio and a rural food assisstance program in North Carolina.
Guest speaker Dr. Karen Brown gave an informative presentation about the ministry of Natasha House, which provides transitional housing and support to single mothers and their children experiencing homelessness on the Peninsula.
The program ended with the Presbyterian Women raising their own voices in song, led by Janet Hostenske and using hand-held instruments passed around to all the tables.
After the program, they enjoyed good fellowship and good food, much of it themed around the “Cinco de Mayo” date of the luncheon.
