Music Ministry
Yorkminster Presbyterian Church has a very active music ministry that offers a wide variety of opportunities in which you are invited to participate.
We believe church music is designed to accomplish two functions:
1) to honor and praise God
2) to provide outlets for worship, encouragement and spiritual growth to the congregation

Special Music Events
Our robust music program draws visitors from throughout the Virginia Peninsula, with events ranging from holiday worship services to exciting concerts.

These usually include (but are not limited to):

Christmas Cantata with live orchestra, chancel choir, children's choir, handbells, and special ensembles

Maundy Thursday and Good Friday Services with orchestral accompaniment and extensive choral pieces

Fall Comedy/Broadway Night that is often a mix of variety show, dinner, and choir numbers that give our singers (and audience) a chance for some secular music fun

Spring Handbell Concert in which our beginning handbells, advanced handbells and children's handchime choirs perform an entertaining mix of holy and popular songs

Easter & Christmas Eve services
