Senior Groups

JOY Ministries (Just older Youth)
All Yorkminster's older adults are invited to join JOY Ministries (Just older Youth)!

We are young at heart and energetic, with experiences and wisdom of a lifetime, and spirits filled with the love of God. We meet at church on the fourth Monday of each month from September through May (except December) for lunch, devotion, interesting and fun programs, and an occasional excursion to a theater or a place of interest.

Our lunches take place at 11:30 a.m. one Monday per month. For details, please contact the church office.

Functional Fitness

Have you made that New Year’s Resolution to exercise more and get in better shape?  Functional Fitness is an exercise class that aims to improve your strength, balance and overall fitness lead by very experienced Spring Teller.  Work out on your own level.   


Classes are on Monday and Thursday mornings at 9:00 a..m. 

Men and women are welcome!   Come both days or just one day a week. Donation recommended is $15 a month for 4 classes or less, $25 for more than 4 classes. Bring a mat, barbells and water bottle.  Wear comfortable clothing.  Questions, call Betsy Mitchell, 757-898-4524.
