Sunday School
K to 5th grade
Yorkminster uses the David Cook curriculum "Bible in Life " No matter where students are in their walk with Jesus, "Bible-in-Life" communicates the gospel with life-changing clarity, inspiring them to know God and make Him known. The lessons are filled with Bible stories and pictures, Bible-based themes, activities, memory verses, and more – all from a balanced theological perspective.
Each week, students focus on these four areas:
• Connecting with each other and with God’s Word
• Studying God’s Word together
• Interacting with God’s Word to find key themes and takeaways
• Responding to God’s Word by applying it to life
Bible Class - Our third and fourth graders are presented Bibles, then they spend 6 weeks learning how to use them: how to look up scripture, use maps, dictionaries etc.
Our programs depend on committed adults who give their time and care to the kids. Being a leader is fun and meaningful! The lessons are teacher-friendly as well as kid-friendly. Teachers love the easy to teach, four-step lesson focus. Learn the different ways you can volunteer and be involved.
All of the adults who supervise children in our programs have background checks and child protection training. Yorkminster is committed to providing a safe environment for the children in our care.
