Led by Director of Music John McDonough, our chancel choir performs a wide range of traditional and traditional-style compositions. Some are beautifully simple and can be learned in a practice or two, while others are months in the making, as they take on the likes of Rutter and Handel.
We work hard to make each piece as precise and meaningful as possible, to glorify God and to inspire the faith of all who hear.
No experience is necessary, and you can choose between a short-term or long-term commitment:
Meets Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the choir room
The Chancel Choir sings regular anthems, introits and responses for the 9:45 a.m. Sunday worship service. The Chancel Choir is open to both youth and adults.
Meets some Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings, seasonally
Open to anyone interested in singing for short seasonal commitments. These include Christmas cantatas, Holy Week and Easter music, patriotic musicals, and special Broadway showcase and secular evening events.
Rehearsals are periodic Wednesdays and some Saturdays. Complimentary CDs and DVDs of past programs are available upon request.
