There are a variety of ways you can become more connected within our church. If you are interested in any of these opportunities, contact our church office. Here are several adult offerings:
The second Saturday of every month from October through May, the men of our church gather at 8 a.m. for a delicious hot breakfast and fellowship. A guest speaker is featured each month on a different topic.
The Prayer Fellowship devotes time for praise, intercession, and prayer partnership. Meetings are the first Monday of every month from 10 a.m. until noon. Host homes are listed in the church bulletin. Come join us or use request cards in the pew racks to send your prayer requests.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Yorkminster has created this special ministry to bring love and care to those in our community who are going through difficult times. The making of a prayer shawl is a spiritual practice, which embodies our thoughts and prayers for the receiver. As we knit or crochet our shawls, we ask God's love to comfort those who will receive the shawl, and, when the shawl is completed, it is offered a final blessing before being given. Individuals that are interested in knitting or crocheting meet each Tuesday, except the second Tuesday of the month, at 9:30 a.m. in the parlor. All age groups are represented in our circle of knitters and everyone is welcome.
Functional Fitness Class
Mondays & Thursdays, 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
Functional fitness helps to reduce the risk of many major diseases and illnesses. It helps seniors achieve a level of strength, endurance, cardiovascular efficiency, joint flexibility and balance that enables us to carry out our activities of daily living (ADLs) effectively. To confirm times, please check our church calendar.
